Edward's enthusiasm and appreciation for the Lowcountry comes from his Beaufort roots. He grew up here and has lived in Beaufort most of his life. After graduating from Virginia Episcopal School, Edward attended the University of South Carolina in Columbia. Upon graduation, he spent several years working at the South Carolina Budget & Control Board assisting various state agencies with real estate procurement. Later, he switched to the private sector and was employed by Eden's & Avant working in the commercial & retail leasing department.
In 1994, he returned to Beaufort and formed a real estate firm specializing in commercial properties and the upper end of the residential market. After several successful years, he merged his firm with Lowcountry Real Estate.
